WORK HISTORY
My education and first professional work came from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I played basketball, graduated with honors, earned a master’s degree, and upon graduation, was immediately hired by the university’s design press printing department. There, I worked on print content for the exhibitions and events departments, as well as for the president's office. In 2011, I moved from the office to the fields, working beside some of my native Georgia’s most respected farmers before becoming the manager at Wrecking Barn Farm in 2015. While navigating nature’s deadlines, I also did freelance graphic design for ObliqSound, Creek Valley Records, Infinity Circus Productions, and others.
In 2018 I returned to my roots (to both my hometown and my creative work) to assist a home furnishings retail business with visual communications. I worked as the in-house designer and resident “millennial.” I crafted copy, created graphics for print and videos, and coordinated with our marketing agency.
In spring of 2020, I transplanted myself from the peach state to the evergreen state. I am currently the Senior Creative Designer at Oxbow Farm and Conservation Center in Washington’s stunning Snoqualmie Valley. I feel lucky to have found an organization where my seemingly disparate background and enthusiasm in graphic design and thoughtful environmental stewardship can correspond perfectly. I contribute my creative and communicative know-how to help share Oxbow’s mission of inspiring people to eat healthy, sustainably grown food and to steward our natural resources for future generations.
I strive to create distinctive and effective experiences through print and digital media. In my work, I am a proponent of refined quirkiness, deviating from the expected to create something unexpectedly right for each project.
THIS ‘n THAT
My vegetable patronus is the Vidalia Onion. While growing, it requires little attention (in comparison to tomatoes a.k.a. the needy girlfriend of the plant kingdom) and can brave southern winters. It is strong, sweet, and versatile.
I have a point guard mentality. I have the vision and confidence to execute my coach’s game plan, and the ability to selflessly direct, create, and adapt with my teammates on the court. I thrive being a Stockton to someone’s Malone.
